We are pleased to announce a seven-day mindfulness meditation retreat, a profound inner journey rooted in the core teachings of Buddhism—the Four Seals of Dharma. This retreat offers participants a path to liberation from suffering and the attainment of inner freedom. Through systematic study and practice, the course will help cultivate compassion and Bodhicitta, enabling participants to embody the wisdom and compassion of Buddhism in their daily lives.

The place…

The retreat goes beyond theoretical learning, placing a strong emphasis on practical application. The course is specifically designed to teach meditation techniques, guiding participants to find inner peace and awakening through stillness. Additionally, we will integrate Tai Chi and walking meditation, harmonizing body and mind in both movement and stillness. These practices not only enhance physical well-being but also deepen the experience of mindfulness, allowing participants to maintain awareness and presence in every moment of life.

This retreat returns to the traditional methods of the Buddha, with teachings delivered by monastics who uphold the precepts and virtues of the Dharma. The course is entirely free of charge. To ensure participants can fully immerse themselves in the practice, those accepted into the retreat will be provided with free accommodation in cozy wooden cabins and served 2-3 home-cooked vegetarian meals each day. These arrangements are made to create a serene and tranquil environment for practice, allowing everyone to focus wholeheartedly on their spiritual growth, wisdom, and compassion.

The retreat will take place in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, Thailand, an ideal location for meditation due to its peaceful and secluded surroundings, far from the distractions of everyday life. To ensure that each participant receives ample guidance and care, admission will be selective, and walk-in participants will not be accepted. The registration deadline is 10:00 PM on September 15, 2024, so those interested are encouraged to register before this date.

The check-in time is from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on September 20, 2024. Please make sure to arrive on time, as late arrivals will not be able to join the retreat.

We warmly invite all those who are eager to deepen their understanding and practice of Buddhism to join us in this retreat. Together, we will explore the path from an ordinary being to Buddhahood, experience the wisdom and compassion of the Dharma, and journey toward the bright light of awakening.
